"Entreat me not to leave you" Ruth 1:16
Saturday April 5th, 2014
Wycliffe College, 5 Hoskin Avenue Toronto
9:30am - 11:30am
Come and join us for Wycliffe’s second Women’s Breakfast on April 5th. Professor Marion Taylor will present her reflections on the opening chapters of the book of Ruth and we will discuss what Ruth can teach us today about life’s choices, loving-kindness and discipleship.
Bio: Professor Marion Taylor has taught Old Testament at Wycliffe College since 1986 following graduate studies at Yale University. Her interest in the history of the interpretation of the Bible centres on women interpreters. Her most recent book, The Handbook of Women Biblical Interpreters: a historical and biographical guide (2012) provides an exciting new resource for those interested in the history of the reception of the biblical texts and theology. She is currently on sabbatical, writing a commentary on Ruth and Esther for the Zondervan series The Story of God. She is married to Prof. Glen Taylor, they have three adult children.
In addition, you will meet women currently studying at Wycliffe and hear more about their personal stories of calling as well as their journey of spiritual formation.
Although there is no cost associated with this event, donations are welcome.
