On May twelfth, the 128th graduating class of Wycliffe College convocated at Convocation Hall at the University of Toronto.
Altogether fifty students were awarded degrees and diplomas. These included the Master of Divinity, Master of Religion, Master of Theological Studies, Diploma in Christian Studies and Diploma in Lay Ministry.
Honorary Doctorates were also bestowed on four leading Christians: The Most Rev. Paul Kwong, primate of the Anglican diocese of Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui and Bishop of Hong Kong Island; The Rt. Rev. Linda Nicholls suffragan bishop of Trent-Durham in the Anglican Diocese of Toronto; The Rev. Andrew Stirling, Senior Minister at Timothy Eaton Memorial Church;and lastly, Graham Kendrick, of Kent, England, who has been described as “the father of modern worship music” and songwriter of “Amazing Love” and “Let the Living Waters Flow”.
