<< Wycliffe graduate Bishop Mark MacDonald receives Queen's Jubilee Medal

The Rt. Rev. Mark MacDonald, Wycliffe graduate '78 and Honorary Degree Recipient '99 received the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal on Feb. 2 at Queen's Park, Toronto.

The Diamond Jubilee Medal was created to mark the 2012 celebrations of the 60th anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth's accession to the throne. Each Member of Parliament was given 30 medals to present to Canadians who have made significant contributions and achievements to the country. The Bishop is being recognized for his spiritual leadership as Canada's first national indigenous bishop since 2007.
