ForeWord Reviews has announced that Marion's latest book  "Handbook of Women Biblical Interpreters" published by Baker Academic, a division of Baker Publishing Group has been chosen as a finalist in the reference category of the 2012 Book of the Year Awards.

This award  program was created to highlight the year's most distinguished books from independent publishers. It represents more than 700 publishers and the finalists were selected from 1,300 entries in 62 categories.

There are three winners in each category chosen by a jury of  readers, librarians and booksellers. Their decisions take into consideration editorial excellence, professional production, originality of the narrative, author credentials relative to the book, and the value the title adds to its genre. The winners will be announced at the American Library Association (ALA) Annual Conference in Chicago, Friday, June 28th, 2013.
