On Wednesday January 15, 2014, the Rt. Rev. Mark MacDonald gave his inaugural lecture as President of the World Council of Churches, in the Reading Room at Wycliffe College. The lecture was titled, "The WCC and the Church of the Future" and it can be viewed below:
The Rt. Rev. Mark MacDonald (Wycliffe College '78, Hon. '99) became Canada's first national Indigenous Anglican Bishop in 2007, after serving 10 years as the Bishop of Alaska. He has served in a number of positions across Turtle Island (North America), including Navajo Nation, in the American Southwest, and Red Lake Nation, in Northern Minnesota. Presently, he also serves as the President for North America on the World Council of Churches Central Committee. Mark speaks and advises widely in the church through the continent and beyond.
