To commemorate the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, Wycliffe College is hosting a series of events throughout the fall term. This one-day conference brings four world-class scholars together to reflect on the impact the reformation has had on Christian mission and the translation of the Bible.

  • Alec Ryrie, Reformation Historian, University of Durham - "Being Protestant in Reformation Britain"
  • Cheryl Peterson, Theologian, Trinity Luthern Seminary  - "God's mission has a church, but does it have a scripture? Reflections on the Scriptural basis for the church's mission."
  • Eckhard Schnabel, Early Church Historian, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary - "The Great Commission: The Vision and Practice of Missionary Work from Jesus, John, and Paul to Bonifatius and Martin Luther"
  • Carl Trueman, Theologian & Church Historian, Westminster Theological Seminary - "Reflections on Charles Taylor's Understanding of the Reformation"
