James F. Kennedy

Previous Chair, James F. Kennedy passed away Feb 23

Wycliffe College is mourning the loss of Dr. James F. Kennedy. Jim died on February 23rd, 2016 after a long courageous struggle with cancer. A prominent Toronto lawyer, James came to Wycliffe in 1984 as a new trustee. He brought his professional expertise, his deep Christian faith, and an unfailing spirit of optimism to the college, eventually succeeding Dr. Robert Salter as Chairman of the Board. He was awarded Wycliffe’s honourary Doctor of Sacred Letters in 1998.

In God's Image: A Celebration of Women in Theology

On March 8, 2016, International Women's Day, the member colleges of the Toronto School of Theology will celebrate and acknowledge the participation and achievements of women in theology. This event brings together the family of TST Colleges in communal celebration to foster a spirit of ecumenism and to be means of visible and tangible support for women studying, practising and living theology. Wycliffe's Dr. Marion Taylor will be honoured and Catherine Sider-Hamilton will be a panelists.
