Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, to receive honorary degree from WycliffeOn Tuesday, May 3, Wycliffe College will award the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, with a Doctor of Divinity honoris causa. In a ceremony that will be live-streamed from Wycliffe's Sheraton Hall, former Principal George Sumner will present the Archbishop for the degree, which will be conferred by Principal Stephen Andrews with Board Chair Carol Boettcher. Dr Lissa Wray Beal to join Wycliffe faculty as Professor of Old TestamentWycliffe College is pleased to announce that Dr Lissa Wray Beal will join the faculty as Professor of Old Testament on August 1, 2022. Her appointment concludes a six-month search during which a committee with representatives from the College, the Toronto School of Theology, and the University of Toronto reviewed more than two dozen applications for the position. Sharon Ramsay - Radical Hospitality: Finding Strength in the Midst of WeaknessSharon Y. Ramsay (MDiv, RP, RMFT) is a Clinical Fellow and an Approved Supervisor of the American Association for Marriage & Family Therapy. A graduate of Tyndale Seminary’s Master of Divinity program in Toronto, Sharon consults with couples, individuals and families about a wide variety of issues covering many stages of the family life cycle. Wanda Malcolm - Navigating The Ups And Downs Of Ministry LeadershipWanda Malcolm is Professor of Pastoral Psychology at Wycliffe College. She joined Wycliffe College’s faculty in 2007 where she teaches in the Pastoral Theology department. She is also a registered psychologist with a part-time private. Prior to coming to Wycliffe, Wanda was a member of faculty at Tyndale University College for five years. Her PhD dissertation research is the foundation of workshops and teaching she does in the area of forgiveness and reconciliation in the wake of interpersonal hurtfulness within close relationships.
