Wycliffe is a graduate school of Theology in the evangelical and Anglican tradition, working within the Toronto School of Theology and granting degrees conjointly with the University of Toronto.

The successful candidate will have a PhD in the area of Development (or a relevant field) with experience in qualitative or quantitative research and a background in theological studies. In addition they will have extensive experience working in development either in Canada or internationally and will have cultivated networks with other professionals working in the area of Not-for-Profits or development.
As the Transitional Director they will provide strategic continuity for the MTSD program while working to assess the strengths and weaknesses of the current program, its alignment with other programs at Wycliffe, and its potential in relation to training students for Not-for Profit and Development work. As part of their responsibilities they will present a strategic plan for the MTSD program at the end of their first year of employment.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach one or two courses per year in the area of Development and Theology. They will work with the Academic Dean to ensure that an appropriate slate of MTSD courses are offered each year. They will be able to teach respectfully across the range of doctrinal traditions represented by Wycliffe’s students. They will have the ability and willingness to teach in both on-campus and online modes. They will also serve as an advisor to students in the MTSD program, oversee the student internship program, and coordinate the supervision of final projects. They will be able to broker relationships, learning agreements and student and organisation evaluations for successful internships, including strengthening existing and new relationships with domestic and international NGOs and other organizations offering solid internship experiences.
