Irina Dubinski

Adjunct Faculty

Biography

Irina was raised in Moscow, Russia, and moved to Toronto in her late teens to pursue university education. After earning her BA in Linguistics and PhD in Speech-Language Pathology, she has worked as a research associate at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital and adjunct faculty member at the Toronto Metropolitan (then Ryerson) University and Tyndale College. Upon discerning a calling to ordination, she has also completed her Masters of Divinity from Wycliffe College, and Spiritual Direction Diploma from Regis College.

As such, her personal spirituality has been shaped by a combination of growing up with an Eastern Orthodox heritage, early faith experiences in the Evangelical Church, and formal training in Anglican theology and Jesuit tradition. She has served as an ordained priest in the Diocese of Toronto since 2015, and offers Spiritual Direction to individuals with diverse religious backgrounds. She is also a visual artist specializing in human and animal portraiture, and an exhibiting member of the Toronto Heliconian Club.
