Biography

Patrick Mentzer was raised amidst the beautiful mountains and hills of rural Pennsylvania. After completing a B.S. (Mathematics) from Clarion University of PA, Patrick served in campus ministry for seven years in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. His favorite part of campus ministry was studying Scripture with undergrads. After leaving full-time ministry, Patrick earned an MA in Biblical Studies (2016) and is currently working on his PhD at Wycliffe in Old Testament/Hebrew Bible. His research interests include the Hebrew Language, Isaiah, Canonical Approaches to Biblical Interpretation, and the Relation Between the Testaments. When not engaged in academic endeavors, Patrick enjoys playing tabletop games or exploring nature with his spouse (Katie) and their two wonderful daughters.
