Leslie Hunt 5th Principal (1959-1975)

Biographical Sketch
Leslie Hunt grew up and was educated in Toronto. In 1930 he received his BA from the University of Toronto. He received his LTh from Wycliffe College in 1934. In 1937 Hunt was awarded the General Synod Bachelor of Divinity degree. In 1954 he received his Master of Theology from the Toronto Graduate School of Theological Studies. In 1956 he was appointed canon. He received his Doctor of Divinity in 1959. He became principal of Wycliffe College in 1959. He initiated the Uganda Project and helped start the Lay School of Theology and the Master of Religion Program and the Toronto School of Theology. Hunt retired in 1975.
