Biographical Sketch
George Sumner graduated from Harvard University. He received his MDiv and PhD from Yale University. When he was first ordained he went to East Africa. His second posting sent him to Arizona. Next he was rector of the Trinity Episcopal Church in Geneva Park, New York. In 1999 he was asked to be the ninth principal of Wycliffe College. In 2015 he was elected Bishop of Dallas in the Episcopal Church.
