Michael Poutney 8th Principal (1993-98)

Biographical Sketch
Michael Poutney was born in London, England. He had been a merchant marine before he got the qualifications to teach high school. He then studied theology at the Montreal Diocesan College, and later was awarded the degree of Doctor of Education. He was director of the Inter Varsity Education Fellowship before he and his wife Elaine joined Wycliffe College in 1993. They did not stay long at Wycliffe before Poutney fell ill. In 1998 he returned to ministering at St Paul’s Church. He later joined the International Federation of Evangelical Studies in Ukraine.
