Tuition Fees

Domestic students seeking reasonable options for graduate theological education will find Wycliffe’s fees among the most affordable in the country. Program fees are detailed at the links below.

Please note, if you are neither a citizen nor a permanent resident of Canada, you will be classified as an International student. 

Apply for Financial Aid

Your tuition depends on the following: 

  • Program of study

  • Eligibility for domestic or international fees

  • The year you entered the program

  • Whether the program is conjointly awarded with U of T or is a non-conjoint program awarded by Wycliffe alone. If you would like to find out more about the difference between these, please contact our Admissions Coordinator.

Reading the Tuition Tables

 If you are a new student, simply look at the first row, choose the number of courses and find your tuition cost.

  • 1 to 3 credits is considered part-time

  • 4 to 6 credits is considered full-time and incurs full-time incidental fees

  • 5 courses is considered a normal course load

If you wish to downlod a printable PDF Version of the Tuition Tables, you can find them on the University of Toronto Fees Page.  Please be aware that the table is issued by the University of Toronto and expresses courses in terms of half credits, whereas Wycliffe expresses them as full credits (i.e., .5 Credit = 1 Credit).

International Tuition Fees for Summer Semester

See the TST website. Please be aware that these PDF tables express the courses in terms of half credits, whereas Wycliffe expresses them as full credits (i.e., .5 Credit = 1 Credit).

Fee Invoices and Payments

As a member college of the Toronto School of Theology (TST), Wycliffe operates on a trimester system:

  1. Fall semester (September to December) 
  2. Winter semester (January to April) 
  3. Summer semester (May to August)

However, student fees are invoiced for two sessions:

  1. The Fall to Winter session invoice summarizes both the Fall (September to December) semester & Winter (January to April) semester fees.
  2. The Summer session invoice summarizes the Summer semester fees.

 

Fees Billed on Student Web Service

You must pay fees according to the two sessions. For example, fees billed for the Winter semester are due and payable at the same time as the fees billed for the Fall semester.

You are expected to monitor your account on the Student Web Service (ACORN). All fees and charges posted to your ACORN account are payable when billed.

 

Timing of Transfers

You are responsible for planning sufficient time for payments to reach the University’s bank account and to be recorded in your ACORN account by the payment due date.

Note that the transfer of funds from major Canadian financial institutions normally takes three to five business days. However, transfers from Canadian credit unions and financial institutions outside of Canada can take much longer.

 

No Paper Invoices

Paper invoices are not routinely mailed. Non-receipt of an invoice does not exempt you from meeting your financial obligations.

 

Service Charges

Service Charges are administered by the University of Toronto and are billed on the 15th of each month. If you do not pay your fees by the due date recorded on ACORN, an outstanding account balance is subject to a monthly service charge of 1.5% compounded (19.56% per annum).
