Reginald Stackhouse

Reginald Stackhouse

Principal Stackhouse’s name had often appeared as a by-line in the Canadian Churchman, where he wrote a regular column for some years, in the Toronto Telegram, and in the Globe and Mail. In other words, Principal Stackhouse is a man whose undoubted scholarship is matched by his capacity to serve people as pastor and political representative, service which is expanded by his familiarity with the techniques of the mass media. The personal commitment to Christ is what has been preached and taught and lived throughout the history of Wycliffe College. That commitment and conviction must be the only basis on which Wycliffe can move into its second century. As Principal Stackhouse wrote, “this is the heart of the Christian life and the heart of the College as it performs its ministry of enabling persons to gain competence for the Ministry.”
