Scripture and Theology Colloquium: Just what is "Scripture and Theology"?
Wycliffe College
Just what is "Scripture and Theology"?
When: Wednesday, March 11 - 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Where: Great Hall, Wycliffe College, 5 Hoskin Ave, Toronto
Email: davidpaxton.ross@mail.utoronto.ca
How do we read Scripture to serve theology, and how does theology help us to read Scripture better?
After 18 years, Wycliffe College takes stock, and asks its own faculty and some guests what they have learned on the nature of Scripture, theology, and how they relate. How does that relationship make a difference to how faculty write (publish) and teach in their respective fields (from Hebrew poetry to church planting)? Some faculty will consider biblical theology, others - the "theological interpretation of Scripture," and the "open" hermeneutics of the Bible and of theology.
Join Wycliffe faculty along with Geoffrey Ready (Trinity) and John A. Vissers (Knox) as they explore the theme of the theological interpretation of Scripture.
Registration is open. Please register here. (Please note: students receive a discounted registration cost.)

About the Colloquium
The Scripture and Theology Colloquium is a semi-annual gathering of faculty, pastors, students, and others who are interested in exploring the dynamic interactions of scripture and theology. Featuring a selection of world-class experts, the colloquia will alternate in focus, sometimes addressing larger theological topics and other times considering a specific book or chapter of the Bible.
