ThM, 2018
PhD in Theology, 2024 (expected)
I was born in Lubumbashi, Congo DR and grew up in Bathurst, New Brunswick. My faith background is Wesleyan, and I've served as a youth and young adult pastor at Milliken Wesleyan Methodist Church in Markham, ON. I am also a Christian Hip Hop artist, and I've held workshops on the relation between Hip Hop and faith to help young Christians express their faith journey through the medium of Hip Hop and poetry.
I chose Wycliffe College for a few reasons: it offers a space for evangelicals to faithfully explore their theological interests in a way that enriches the mind and soul. Its community is diverse, and its stellar faculty deeply care about their students' holistic wellbeing.
My Wycliffe master's thesis was on Calvin's theology of sanctification, specifically looking at the function of law and grace. Currently I am working on my doctoral thesis, which focuses on the relation between the nature of the church and eucharistic sacrifice in the eucharistic theologies of Bucer, Vermigli, and Cranmer.
While completing my PhD, I am also serving as the Program Director & Assistant Professor of Theology at Kingswood University in New Brunswick. I hope to continue utilizing my theological education at Wycliffe to serve the church and the theological academy better.
