Preaching Day 2016

Our last Preaching Day was on February 1, 2016, which featured three plenary sessions with William H. Willimon, Professor of the Practice of Christian Ministry at Duke Divinity School: Preaching Cross:

  • Preaching the scandal of a crucified God in a culture that thinks it already knows God.
  • Preaching Resurrection: Preaching the victory of God in a culture of therapeutic Deism.
  • The Joy of talking about Jesus crucified and resurrected rather than talking about ourselves or even our congregations.

Afternoon workshops from Peter Holmes, Catherine Sider Hamilton, and Annette Brownlee.
