Jasmine: I grew up as a Missionary Kid in Monaco, where my father was working for Trans World Radio. God’s amazing guidance brought me to Wycliffe. A year before moving to Toronto, I visited the College and knew right away that I was meant to be there. In fact, there was no other option in my mind. I had a lot to learn at Wycliffe and appreciated the strong theological foundation that was provided. Given the multifaceted challenges of ministry, I don’t think it’s possible to learn all we need to know, but Wycliffe gave me the tools and the confidence to face those challenges and to seek creative solutions.

Terence: My parents are from British Guyana, but I was born and raised in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Prior to attending Wycliffe, I completed an undergraduate degree in History. After visiting several other seminaries, it was clear to me that Wycliffe was the best option. I have no regrets! I highly value the theological framework I gained at Wycliffe.

Both: We met at Wycliffe—a true blessing to both of us. Seven years ago, we started a community outreach ministry called “Pennies and Sparrows.” This ministry is focused in the central Saint John area, which has very high poverty rates. We moved into the neighbourhood and have spent a lot of time getting to know people and looking for ways to repair the social fabric, build support networks, and engage marginalized people through daily integration in the community. We also are co-priests of Stone Church. The ongoing support of Wycliffe staff and colleagues has been a tremendous blessing and encouragement.
