Our last Society and Culture Lecture on January 29, 2016 featured a dialogue on Science and Religion with University of Toronto professor Larry Moran and University of Cambridge professor Denis Alexander.

Dr. Alexander is the Emeritus Director of the Faraday Institute for Science and Religion, St Edmund's College, Cambridge. Dr Alexander was previously Chairman of the Molecular Immunology Programme and Head of the Laboratory of Lymphocyte Signalling and Development at The Babraham Institute, Cambridge. Dr Alexander writes, lectures and broadcasts widely in the field of science and religion. From 1992-2013 he was Editor of the journal Science & Christian Belief, and currently serves as a member of the executive committee of the International Society for Science and Religion.

Laurence "Larry" Moran is a Professor of Biochemistry at the University of Toronto interested in biochemistry, molecular evolution, and science education. He is one of the authors of "Principles of Biochemistry" (5th edition)—one of the leading introductory college biochemistry textbooks.
