Sheryl GrunwaldAdjunct FacultyPhD, Asia Pacific Nazarene Theological Seminary, Philippines, MDiv, Edmonton Baptist SeminaryBEd, University of AlbertaDr. Sheryl Grunwald has been working with children for most of her life, first as a volunteer in the church, then as an elementary school teacher in Canada and Japan, a children’s pastor for 13 years and, since 2005, a global missionary. She is passionate about equipping children’s ministry leaders around the world to reach, disciple and empower children. Sheryl currently serves as the Global Children’s Ministry Training Director for ACTION International Ministries. Her work has spanned 33 countries on five continents and has included the equipping and mentoring of national trainers, advocating for the importance of investing in the next generation, and helping establish networks to collaborate more effectively for the sake of children. Sheryl has taught in the field of children’s ministries at Bible colleges in Canada, Cameroon, Uganda and the Philippines as an adjunct professor. Her doctoral research in the field of Holistic Child Development explored the relationships between child participation, empowerment and spirituality in children. Sheryl lives in Calgary, Alberta, and when she isn’t traveling, she enjoys hiking in the Rockies, exploring ethnic restaurants with friends, and loving on her nieces and nephews and their children. |
