Wycliffe College is a historic, evangelical seminary and a founding member of the Toronto School of Theology (TST). It is situated on the downtown campus of the University of Toronto (UofT), in the heart of one of the world’s most multicultural cities.
For over 140 years, the College has equipped people called by God to live out Jesus-centred lives in the Church, the Academy, and on mission, here in Canada and around the world.
Vestigia Dei – is a Latin term meaning “traces of God.” As a theological term it is associated with natural theology – that is, the view that there are vestiges of God within creation. We’ve chosen this term as the title of the Wycliffe College blog because our hope is that through these writings, readers might glimpse evidences for God as our writers interact with the wider world.

Scripture and Theology Colloquium October 2024
This fall's Colloquium is: Postliberal Theology For a New Millennium: An Appreciation of Dr Ephraim Radner.
A generation ago, theology in orthodox and evangelical circles received a boost from a small movement, based around Yale Divinity School that was soon labelled "postliberal theology." Wycliffe Professor Emeritus the Rev. Dr Ephraim Radner has not only been a custodian of this tradition; he has taken forward a Gospel-rich and Church-based orthodox theology well into the 21st century.
Speakers include Brad East (Abilene Christian University), David Ney (Trinity Anglican Seminary) and George Sumner (Professor Emeritus, Wycliffe College).
Reformed House of Studies November Conference - Resourcing the Church: attending to the whole person of God
Too often Christians and churches are too content with too little of what God longs to be for, and give to, His people. We often think the only question we need to consider is whether our beliefs and practices are biblical or not, however we also want to consider whether or not we're simply missing things.
In this day-long conference we'll explore (1) the discipline of attention to Scripture and the call to wholeness; (2) wholeness and discipleship; and (3) wholeness and the full canon of Scripture.

This program has given me structure and motivation to explore a ministry-related problem and challenged me to go deeper than by following a self-directed course of study.
Stephanie Douglas, DMin student
I’ve grown in the way I read God’s word. I was missing some things crucial for understanding, and for appreciating the beauty and purity of the text.
