Double your impact – make a gift before November 15, 2016!

From time to time, our historic Founders’ Chapel has required extensive restoration and conservation efforts. It is a special place in this building, for which our administration has looked after through the careful stewardship of capital funds. Now 106-years-old, the Chapel roof is in immediate need of the second repair of its lifetime, at a cost of $190,000.
Recently, a friend of Wycliffe has generously volunteered to double your impact to the College. What this means it that your gift, no matter the size, will be matched on a dollar-for-dollar basis if the College receives it before November 15 – up to a total of $25,000.
All donations will directly support the reconstruction of our Founders’ Chapel roof.
Having to repair the Chapel roof comes as no surprise to the College, but we have needed to carefully steward our funds to other building repairs and improvements over these past ten years. The challenge remains for us to replace the Chapel roof this year, before further interior water damage is done. This is why we need your help. Thank you very much for your consideration of this special project at the College.
About Founders' Chapel
Over a century after it was built, Founders’ Chapel remains at the heart of the Wycliffe College community. Our Chapel is where we go, day by day, to pray for the world, to praise God, and to be formed by God’s Word. The Chapel forms students in Wycliffe’s Anglican evangelical tradition, and in keeping with Wycliffe’s evolving breadth of denominations, the Chapel prepares students to be the universal Church at prayer and song. As Chaplain, it is my prayer that Founders’ Chapel provides a rhythm of life that – like water over rock – shapes each student in immeasurable ways over their time at Wycliffe.
The Founders’ Chapel itself conducts 280 services per academic year, as well as countless personal and private acts of prayer. Students use the Chapel as a place to practice the delivery of sermons, read God’s Word aloud, or to rehearse their music. All of this makes Founders’ Chapel one of the most active Anglican Chapels in Canada, and among the largest theological communities in North America. Please consider making a gift today, to preserve our place of worship and teaching for the future.
